I'm graduating class of 2012. Still digging through college applications. I don't even care where I go. I just want to know what I'll do forever. Thinking about it makes me anxious. But thinking about anything else makes me feel useless.

I went to a lecture by a gender studies professor for class. He told us that our generation has the most difficult adolescent experience. Our parents were lying when they said we couldn't complain. But I looked at the people around me and I looked at myself...it almost gives me a feeling of guilt. The privilege is overwhelming. And anything we don't have in the future is not the absence of opportunity, but the product of our apathy.

School feels like a long walk. I know that everything important right now will be nothing in another four years.
